Welcome
Baglio La Luna (the italian for moonbeam) stands in a superb position on a steep promontory overlooking the sea, surrounded by dense Mediterranean vegetation. In the nearby Zingaro Natural Reserve you can visit the calette, a series of grottoes and underwater tunnels; not far away is the long, white beach of San Vtio Lo Capo, which together with teh crystalline sea is a yet unspoilt, exotic place.
The building, which was originally the heart of the surrounding farm, has been refurbished as an intimate guesthouse with five bedrooms – all of which are tastefully furnished and have a private bathroom. Breakfast, featuring local produce, is served in the attractive garden, which along with the sunny terrace is for the exclusive use of guests.
Baglio La Luna is conveniently situated for various excursions to places of interest in the surrounding area: the hilltop town of Erice, the historic isalnd of Motya, the Greek ruind at Selinunte, the Egadi Islands, the great temple at Segesta, and Scopello. Each year in the last week of September San Vito Lo Capo hosts the renowned International Couscous Festival.
Baglio La Luna is open from April to November . Cookery classes, guided walkds and bicycle excursions and scuba diving can all be arranged on request.
